MEANING OF OPPORTUNITY
Ø     It means advantageous chance: a period of time when the circumstances are right for doing something
Ø It means a combination of favorable circumstances or situations: a favorable time or set of circumstances for doing something. That is a time when a particular situation makes it possible to do or achieve something  
Were you privileged to be born as an eagle? Then you must refuse to fly like a sparrow for it is ignominious and despicable for a lion to behave like a goat and a cat to behave like a rat! It’s also ignominious and despicable for a prince to behave like a servant!

Ø The secret of success in life is for a man to be ready for his 0pportunity when it comes!
Ø If you fail to cast your hook/net into the river, you’ll fail to catch a fish! There’s always enough fish in the river to catch when you’re ready to cast your net or hook into it!
You cannot choose the road that leads to hell and expect to end in heaven for he who chooses the beginning of the road, chooses where it leads to! Hence your attitude toward opportunity can either lead to failure or success!
Ø Some opportunity disguise themselves as problem. See every problem as a challenge/opportunity to challenge the challenger on his way to the throne for mad and rough sea make a good sailor. Hence your attitude toward a particular problem can either leads to negativity or positivity for obstacles are stepping stone to success!
Ø It’s only ignorant or lazy man who goes to stream early and come back with dirty water! Hence early bird catches the worm!
Ø The sign on the door of opportunity reads “now or never”
Ø He who lives without discipline dies without honor!
Ø Men who are resolved to find a way for themselves will always find opportunities enough and if they do not find them, they will make them!
Ø Opportunities don’t come often. Some knock once while some knock occasionally. Only fools expect opportunity always for your belief/expectation determines your action!
Ø Not knowing when the dawn will come, open every door.
Ø There’s always a price to pay for every opportunity, for nothing good come easy. Hence a big fish is caught with a big bait! Cultivate the habit of saving for a rainy day!
Ø Opportunity can be wasted or lost either by mistake or deliberately. Remember Judas Iscariot, Esau and Samson!
Ø  Success will smile at a man who makes good use of opportunity and refuses to sleep at the corridor of failure!
Ø Opportunity never come to those who wait, they are captured by those who dare to attack!
Ø Opportunities are transient but ignorance mistakes them to be permanent!
Ø  It is better to look for a black sheep when the night is not yet for “There is time for everything under the sun”
Ø Men of the hours make good use of their opportunities when they knock. That’s why they are privileged to be where they are! Hence, men of the hours spend night and day getting there, for nothing good come easy!
REMEMER
Ø A bird at hand is better than a promised cock. So, it’s better to use the available than to be expecting the expected that may not come to you throughout your life time. Hence, delay and procrastination are dangerous!
Ø Any grasshopper that has the opportunity to run and hide itself when it sees the signs of rain and thunder but fails to do so suffers in cold weather
Ø Take risk when opportunity knocks for the worst risk in life is failure to take risk! Hence, it is better to step forward and fail than to live with failure for in the journey of life one will always be remembered or be defined by the number of time he or she step forward in life! Remember Abraham Lincoln and Thomas Edison!
Ø A decision made when opportunity knocks will build a mansion or thatch house for you tomorrow! Where you are today is as the result of the decision or the foundation you took or laid yesterday respectively!
Ø Any time, day, month or year you missed can never be gotten again. Take for instance, January 2014 has come and gone. No one will see it again! Waste a day in a year, you’ll use the remaining part of the whole year looking for it!
Ø  Every single woman who is still single at her old age had opportunity to get married when she was still young but misused it believing that she was too scrumptious, luscious and important that more suitors would still come until it became too late! As a shining sun sets at the appropriate time, a beautiful flower with fantabulous scent withers and dies at its appropriate time!
Ø  Those who engage themselves in drudgery (hard job) or in menial work and earn little wages while some even beg for survival are those who misused their opportunities when it knocked! Hence he who toys with his opportunity to be catapulted to his place of greatness toys with his destiny
Hence, we may only remember days that are gone and may not be privileged to have them again. So make good use of your time. This is the theory of opportunity!
 Please note that it’s not by size or age, but by what you are capable of delivering to the world when opportunity knocks for the old age of Methuselah has nothing to do with the Wisdom of Solomon!
