SUPERCILIOUSNESS AND BRAGGADOCIO
Mind how you treat those you meet on your way up for you may be meeting them again on your way down:
Ø  Because they are the people who may pick you up and help you stand again if you fall!
Ø  Because yesterday, some people who are down today were up and the poor were rich vice versa! Hence, the falling down of yellow leaves is a warning to the green ones!
Ø  Because the fantasy of any man could be substantialized by the Omnipotence to catapult him to his place of greatness!
Ø  Because the animal regarded as a taboo in one’s man community is as well regarded as a delicacy in another man’s community!
Ø  Because when elephant claims to be the strongest animal in the jungle, other animals will one day congregate to celebrate its down fall!
Ø  Because what have instigated your superciliousness are transient, vanities and meretricious for “….there’s no profit under the sun”. Ecclesiastes 2:11.  Hence the world we live is rich but empty! Take heed, it’s an empty world!
Ø  Don’t ostracize those you feel they are inferior or make them to be at your beck and call for tomorrow may be your turn to take their place vice versa!
Ø  Don’t be supercilious because you own bread, remember another man owns a bakery!
Ø  Because you are nothing but dust! “…for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.” Gen. 3:19b
REMEMBER
Superciliousness is not far from ignorance!
Ø  What goes around comes around. No one knows tomorrow!
Ø  Respect is what you earn and not what you demand!
Ø  With your credential you can still fall in monumental manner! Remember Samson, Moses and Saul!
Ø  To be supercilious is to rate yourself higher than you really are. Hence when a supercilious man thinks best of himself, then God and man think worst of him!
Ø  Every beginning has an end, every night has a morning and every fight has a winner. Hence, “there’s hope for the living dog than for a dead lion”! Ecclesiastes 9:4
Ø  For the fact that you are high and mighty doesn’t make you superior to others. You may be there by chance or through fate.
Ø  “For all flesh (human) is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth…” 1Pet.1:24
Ø  Not much feathers that make a whole bird!
Ø  Hence, don’t be supercilious for superciliousness and braggadocio lead to infamous river with raging torrent which flows into a pit less waterfall!                                                       E. ABIDOK
